VBH started life in 1982 as Heinz Wagner (GB) Ltd, a subsidiary of VBH Group company Heinz Wagner GmbH, based in Germany. The company was situated in a small office/warehouse unit in Rochester, Kent, moving to the current purpose-built building in 1995.

The UK’s dream home is a 4,000 sq ft detached house by the sea, with a swimming pool, according to research by home insurance provider, swiftcover.com. The research discovered that although a detached home is ‘the dream’ property type for more than half (55 per cent) of UK homeowners, a cottage (15 per cent) and even a bungalow (13 per cent) made up the top three ‘most wanted’. Six per cent see their dream home as being a castle.
